Description

Our client is one of the most prestigious, fast-growing leaders in industrial construction machinery throughout Europe and Asia. With a growing international team in Almere, the company is now looking for an experienced HR Manager to join the company. The successful candidate will report to the Human Resources and Corporate Affairs Manager.

The new HR Manager will be trained and evaluated so they can step up to a higher managerial position. Soon after, this person could also join the company’s management team.

Job Profile for HR Manager
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Support the company’s staff and stakeholders and assist with executive decisions
  • Manage Compensation and Benefits (C&B)
  • Improve the Human Resources and Corporate Affairs department
  • Be responsible for the complete EMEA-payroll cycles in France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Finland and the Netherlands
  • Collaborate with European payroll providers, legal service providers and any other HR-related third parties to analyse and solve problems
  • Take the role of the company’s Arbo case manager and arrange sickness absenteeism
  • Update Employment contracts periodically, as well as the organisation’s employment guide book and other internal guidelines and regulations
  • Lead all stages of the recruitment process, including drafting job descriptions and offer letters with the help of departmental managers
  • Carry out the in-house employee performance assessment scheme twice a year
  • Make recommendations for improvement and optimisation to the organisation’s management team
  • Address social legislation questions the team may have and offer advice
  • Manage the periodic upkeep of building/warehouse facilities and equipment where necessary; issue orders to external office suppliers including arranging service agreements
  • Lead and take part in the Dutch BHV (first aid) team

Candidate Profile for HR Manager

  • Must be fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in either Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or equivalent by experience
  • 10-20 years of HR experience in a similar position in an international company, preferably in the technical, manufacturing or construction industry
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulations and specific Dutch employment law and social legislation
  • A people manager and a reliable team player who can create and maintain internal and external networks
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • A no-nonsense approach coupled with a Business and financial acumen
  • An up-to-date knowledge of Italian and French Collective Labor Agreements (CLA’s) would be an advantage
  • A proactive, service-oriented person with a disciplinary mindset who is driven by results
  • Ability to develop and run a cross-functional project team
  • Proven ability to perform under stress conditions
  • Ability to prioritise and comply with assigned deadlines
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations, CLA’s, labour laws and other related laws and regulations
  • Flexible and able to react quickly to changing priorities
  • Excellent problem/conflict solving mentality and willingness to find a good balance between both the company’s business interests and those of the employees
  • Ability to make strategic analysis and to provide logical explanations
  • Solid communication and organisational skills, a detail-oriented approach and the ability to build relationships
  • Proven success in recruitment, interviewing processes, C&B administration, payroll, and handling employer’s and employee’s insurances and pension plans
  • Good MS Office & Excel skills and overall computer literacy
